Volksfest

On Sunday, July 6th the Peoria German-American Society will be hosting their annual Volksfest at Hickory Grove Park from noon to 8 pm – Free Admission and Parking.  This is a family friendly event.

Volksfests or People’s Fests began in Germany.  There is typically at least one Volksfest in many larger German cities each year.  German emigrants to the United States brought the tradition of the Volksfest with them.  The Peoria German American Society has hosted a Volksfest at their club grounds since the 1930’s.

• Dinners served from noon – 6:00
• Sandwiches served from noon – 7:00
• Bar open until 8:00
