German Sommerfest!

German Sommerfest 

Celebrate the beginning of Summer German-style!  Join us at the Peoria Sport Verein’s annual Sommerfest at Hickory Grove Park on Saturday, June 1st, 12pm-8pm.  This event features German food, beverages, soccer, German car and bike cruis’n, and entertainment. 

This is a family friendly event. 

Free admission!!

Featuring:

• Eddie Korosa from Chicago will be the featured artist.
  Eddie Korosa and his band have been crowd favorites at our summer fests for many years! Other local German entertainers: the Lindenhof Echoes, the Lindenhof Echos (Alp Horns), and Al’s Pals Polka Band.
• A German Car and Motorcycle Cruis’n from noon to 5:00 pm.
  Anyone with a German car or bike is encouraged to participate.  Admission is free.  The driver will receive a coupon good for one beverage or sandwich if you arrive before 2pm.

• Stein Holding
• German Merchandise Booth
• German Music
• Kids Playground

German Food and beer:

Complete dinners available as well as ala carte options.  Dinners will be served from 12 noon until 6pm and includes

• Pork Schnitzel
• Bratwurst
• Heidelburgers
• Hot Dogs
• German Potato Salad
• Sauerkraut
• Dessert.   
• Sandwiches and Bavarian Pretzels will be available until 7pm.

No dogs or outside coolers allowed during the fest.  We do permit service animals.  We also have a drop off zone for elderly, handicapped and those with small children.  There is no ATM onsite.
