DESCRIPTION:Springfest with Eddie Korosa!\nSunday, April 14th\nAvanti’s Event Center\n3401 Griffin Drive, Pekin, Illinois\n \n\nJoin us for a German Springfest (Frühlingfest) in Pekin, Illinois on Sunday, April 14th from 12pm-8pm at the Avanti’s Event Center, 3401 Griffin Drive, Pekin, Illinois. Pekin has a rich German History and as part of the Pekin Bi-Centennial we would like you to join us for a day for German food music, drink and entertainment Admission is free. \n\nEntertainment will feature Grammy Award nominee, Eddie Korosa, Jr. and his band from 4-7pm.  Franz Neff & Friends from Schleswig-Holstein with start at 1pm.  The Lindenhof Echos (alphorns) will also perform during the day.\n\nEddie was recognized as the 2013 Chicago Music Awards “Best Polka Entertainer” as well as the 2012 Chicago Music Awards “Lifetime Achievement” recipient.\n\nGerman food will be available for purchase!\nIncluding:\n\nOur famous Über Schnitzel sandwich will be featured on our menu.  This special sandwich includes our pork schnitzel with sauteed onions and Gouda or Swiss Cheese on a bun.\npork schnitzel\nbratwurst\nfrankfurters (hotdogs)\nGerman potato salad\nsauerkraut\nred cabbage\nBavarian pretzels\ndessert.\n\nMake sure you get your pretzel with our Obatzda cheese spread!  Food will be served until 7pm unless we run out.\nThe cash bar will feature a number of German beer selections.\n\nThe German word for Springfest is, “Frühlingsfest.  This is an annual family-friendly celebration of the spring season.  Frühlingsfest takes place in cities all over Germany, such as München and Stuttgart.
