DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by Harmonie Concordia\nat Expo Gardens\nKristkindlmarkt is a street market associated with the celebration of Christmas during the four weeks of Advent. These markets originated in Germany.\n\nExperience Old World Christmas Magic at Harmonie’s Kristkindlmarkt! \nThe event has moved this year to Expositions Gardens, 1601 W Northmoor Rd, Peoria, IL 61614.  The event will be for just one day – Saturday, December 11th from 10 am – 7pm.\n\nVendors will be on-hand until at least 5pm.  Food and beverages will be available longer.  Admission is free.\nOver 40 area vendors will be offering a variety of arts and crafts that are perfect for Holiday gift giving.  All vendors will be indoors.  There will be over a 120 seats for dining.\n\nThe Kristkindl or Santa Claus will be available handing out candy canes to the little ones.  Live entertainment from 11am-5pm.\nNew this year will be a kid’s activity area.  Kid’s can write letters to Santa, create ornaments and play games.\n\nFood and beverages, typical of the Kristkindlmarkts will also be available for purchase:  bratwurst, schnitzel, currywurst, homemade strudel, glühwein, hot chocolate, hot cider, Bavarian pretzels, and German beer.\nEntertainment will be provided each day featuring, brass groups playing Christmas Carols, accordion players, piano players as well as Christmas Carolers, and more!\n\nMake sure you purchase one of our commemorative Kristkindlmarkt hat pins or Kristkindlmarkt ornament.\nCome and celebrate the Holiday Season with us!\n\nCheck us out on Facebook at:  Kristkindlmarkt of Peoria, IL or go to www.peoriagermans.net\n
