DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by GACS\nat Hickory Grove Park\nGerman Middle ages Market! A Mittelaltermarkt is a German version of a Renaissance fair.  \nJoin us for our  Mittaltermarkt at Hickory Grove Park on Saturday, October 16th from 10am – 7:00pm.   \n\nFree admission!\nArea arts and craft vendors will be selling a wide variety of seasonal items.\nLive entertainment will be provided.\nFood and beverages will be available for purchase.\n\nOur Middle Age Market will focus mostly on crafters this year.   Over 1000 Mittelaltermarkts are held in Germany each year.\nSince this is close to Halloween and is a Middle Age related event, all workers, vendors and attendees are encouraged to dress up in period attire.  Basically any costume you might see on Game of Thrones, Vikings, Robin Hood, William Tell, Merlin, King Arthur, Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, the Outpost, or similar movies and TV shows.\nFood being served will include:\n\nbratwurst\npork schnitzel\nsauerkraut\nGerman potato salad\nBavarian pretzels\nHot chocolate, hot cider and Glühwein will be available.   Glühwein is a hot spiced wine.\nSoft drinks, beer and wine will also be available.\nIce Cream specialties can also be purchased.\n\nCrafters will be set-up until at least 5pm.  Food will be served until 6pm or until it runs out.\nAnyone who is interested in being a vendor should call or text Jeff Pulfer at 309-621-1813.\nCOVID-19 Guidelines need to be followed.  Only service animals are allowed on the property during this event.\n\n
