DESCRIPTION:German Sommerfest \nCelebrate the beginning of Summer German-style!!    Join us for the Sport Verein’s annual Sommerfest at Hickory Grove Park on Saturday, June 12th.  This event features German food, soccer, German car and bike cruis’n, arts and crafts, and entertainment.  This is a family friendly event.\n\n– featuring Soccer and Eddie Korosa!\n\nSponsored by Peoria Sport Verein\nat Hickory Grove Park\n\nComplete dinner available as well as a sandwich line. \nFood served includes:\nPork Schnitzel, Bratwurst, Heidelburgers, Hot Dogs, German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, Dessert\n\nA German Car and Motorcycle Cruis’n from noon to 5:00 pm.  Anyone with a German car or bike is encouraged to participate.  Admission is free.  The driver will receive a coupon good for one beverage or sandwich if you arrive before 2pm.\n\nAlso our German Kunst and Handwerk Markt offers a variety of handmade items from local handy crafters.   A German gift tent will be open offering a number of imported items from Germany for sale.  Many of these gifts are the perfect gift for Father’s Day!\n\nEddie Korosa and the “Boys from Illinois” from Chicago will be performing along with other local German entertainers the Lindenhof Echoes and Al’s Pals Polka Band.\n\n\nHickory Grove Park is at 12403 Hickory Grove Rd., Dunlap is just north of Peoria.\nNo dogs or outside coolers allowed during the fest.  Please follow social distancing guidelines.\n\nFor the latest information check out our webpage:  www.peoriagermans.net.  Inquires can be made to info@peoriagermans.net.\n\n \n
