PSV Blues

The Sport Verein Peoria has a long tradition in Central Illinois soccer. Joe Spies put together the first team over 40 years ago. Over the years, some of the best players and coaches in the Peoria area have suited up with the Blues.
Today the SV sponsors three teams: two men's open teams (PSV Blues and PSV DarkBlues) and a woman's open team (PSV LadyBlues). Both compete in the CISL, a local open league, which the Sport Verein co-founded over 25 years ago.
All of our teams are affiliated with the ISSA and compete in various open tournaments throughout the year.
PSV Blues were our 1st team and along with many tournament and league titles is the 2nd oldest continueing club team in the state of Illinois. The Blues were League Champs in 1972, 1979, 1984, 1985, 1997, 2002, 2008, & 2010. Walter Reid Cup Champs in 79, 93, 97, 09, & 10.

PSV DarkBlues were established in 2006. These team is made up of our over 30 players as well as young guys breaking into the league.

PSV LadyBlues were established in 2005. They finished 2nd in the ISSA state cup that 1st year. The LadyBlues then established the womens divison of the CISL the following year.
